Rep. Dan Truitt: Truitt comments on Gov. Corbett's reforms for the Legislature.
Text of Jan. 25 press release.
Rep. Dan Truitt (R-Chester) released the following statement on Gov. Corbett's recommendations to reform the legislature:
"We must treat the legislature the way we would a business," Truitt said. "That means cutting excess and inefficiency. This is exactly what we must do with the state budget. So it's imperative that we lead by example. That's why I have declined the state car, the per diems, and pension, and I'm making a very deliberate effort to minimize my district office expenses, travel expenses, and Harrisburg office expenses.
